“The Ardèche Adventure” is an impressive experience, ideal for lovers of nature and challenges. In two days, you will cover 37 km and discover the Ardèche in all its diversity, between moments of relaxation and more sporty passages.

The Ardèche Adventure 37 km in 2 days

The first day begins gently with a quiet ride to Vallon Pont d’Arc. You will pass 5 dams equipped with water slides for canoes. This peaceful route is perfect for enjoying the surroundings and getting to know the river. You will continue with a few more technical sections and a few small rapids until you arrive at the campsite for the first overnight stay.

On the second day, the adventure takes on a new dimension as you cross the Ardèche Gorge Nature Reserve. You will cross the iconic Pont d’Arc and paddle in a spectacular setting, surrounded by dizzying cliffs and unspoiled nature. This sportier route promises unforgettable moments and a complete immersion in the majestic gorge.

Note: If the water level is below the reference level set by the regional authorities, the canoe trip will have to be cancelled.

You must plan to spend the first night at a campsite in Vallon Pont d’Arc.
Our prices do not include the reservation of the campsite (this will be recommended to you after validation of your reservation).

* 2nd option: If you prefer to leave your car in Sauze (Saint-Martin d’Ardèche), the arrival point of your canoe trip, we will organise a shuttle for you on the first day to take you to the starting point of your trip (no waiting in the evening; 15 minutes to the highway).

  • Meeting point in Sauze at 8.15 am
  • Departure from Sauze by bus to Vallon Pont d’Arc
  • Arrival at our station in Vallon Pont d’Arc (CSVP) at 9.30 am: information, initiation, departure for the descent
  • From 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm: free arrival of the descent (your car is on site)

What not to forget to properly prepare your activity

  • Old sneakers or watersandals (shoes which keep at the feet). For your security, avoid shoelaces
  • Swimsuit
  • T-shirt (beware of sunburns)
  • Cap
  • Sunglasses, without forgetting the little string to attache them
  • Camping stuff (tent, sleeping bag…)
  • Cold food, or to warm up (a communal barbecue is available in the bivouacs, barbecue to rent at the campsites)
  • Enough water (at least 1 litre per day and per person), food is available on the campsites and in the bivouacs
  • Change of clothes and warm clothes for the evening
  • Avoid bringing jewelry and other non-waterproof, fragile or valuable items
